Why is my Scag Power Equipment Liberty Z SZL52-23FR leaving strips of uncut grass?

If your Scag Power Equipment Lawn Mower leaves strips of uncut grass in the cutting path, several factors could be responsible. The blades might be dull or worn, or they may have been sharpened incorrectly; in this case, you should sharpen the blades. Low engine RPM can also cause this, so ensure the engine is running at full RPM. A slipping belt requires adjusting the belt tension. Grass accumulation under the deck means you should clean the underside of the deck. Operating at a ground speed that's too fast or cutting wet grass can also lead to this issue; slow down or cut when the grass is dry. Finally, bent blades will need to be replaced.
