If you're seeing strips of uncut grass, there are several potential causes. The blades may be dull or worn, or they might not have been sharpened correctly. In this case, you should sharpen the blades. Also, ensure the engine is running at full RPM. Check the belt to make sure it is not slipping and adjust the belt tension if needed. Remove any grass accumulation from the underside of the deck. You may also be moving too fast, so try slowing down to adjust for conditions, and ensure you cut the grass after it has dried out. Finally, bent blades can also cause this issue, so replace them if necessary.
