If your Scag Power Equipment Lawn Mower is leaving strips of uncut grass in the cutting path, several factors could be at play. The blades might be dull or worn, or perhaps they were sharpened incorrectly, so sharpen the blades. Ensure the engine is running at full RPM. Slipping belts could also be the culprit, so adjust the belt tension. Grass accumulation under the deck can cause this issue; therefore, clean the underside of the deck. Avoid mowing wet grass and slow down your ground speed. Bent blades can also cause this problem, so replace the blades.
