Also, low engine RPM or a slipping belt may be the reason; in these cases, run the engine at full RPM or adjust the belt tension. If the deck is plugged with grass accumulation, clean the underside of the deck. Furthermore, this issue can be caused by ground speed being too fast, so slow down. Cutting wet grass or bent blades can also cause this, so cut after the grass has dried or replace the blades.

Ensure the blade is not upside down; mount it with the cutting edge toward the ground. If the deck is plugged with grass accumulation, clean the underside of the deck.
