2 Now release the two counternuts B and tension
the vee-belt with both bolts C.
3 After tensioning the vee-belt, rmly retighten the
bolts A and the counternuts B. Fig. 4.1

After 5 hours in use, the fan belt must be tightened.
1 To tighten the fan belt, the screws A on both sides
of the motor housing must be loosened. (Fig. 4.3,
4.4)
2 Now tighten the fan belt with the nut C.
3 After tightening of the fan belt 4, tighten the
screws A again. Fig. 4.4
Changing the motor oil. Fig. 5.
After 20 operating hours, the oil must be changed
for the rst time, then every 100 operating hours.
1 Remove the exible hose D and poor the oil into
a suitable bin.
2 Open the lling cap (measuring stick) and let the
oil drain.
3 Reconnect the exible hose.
4 Fill the oil in, check with the measuring stick, and
close.
5 pull starter slowly for 5 times, so that the oil
spreads (without ignition)
Recommended motor oil SAE 10W-30
Dispose of waste oil according to your countrys reg-
ulations.
It is not allowed to drain waste oil onto the ground or
mix it with other waste material.
Important hint in case of sending the plates to a
service station:
Due to security reasons please see to it that the vi-
bratory plates are sent back free of oil and gas!
To remove the oil proceed as follows:
1 Remove the exible hose D and poor the oil into
a suitable bin.
2 Open the lling cap (measuring stick) and let the
oil drain.
3 Reconnect the exible hose.
Changing the oil in the eccentric vibration unit

Change the oil in the eccentric vibration unit af-
ter 200 operating hours!
1. Only change the oil once the eccentric vibration
unit has cooled.
2. Remove the V-belt cover (1) and the V-belt (2).
3. Loosen the screws (3) on the eccentric vibration
unit housing.
4. Lift the entire upper part of the plate vibrator with
the engine off the eccentric vibration unit housing
(4).
10. Putting into operation
Attention: Before the rst use ll in motor oil.

Starting the motor: Fig. 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4
1. Set the choke to ON (with warm motor to OPEN)
2. Open the gasoline tap
3. Move the gas lever to starting position.
4. Set the start switch to ON, forcefully pull the
starter cable
5. Move gas lever to working position, the vibratory
plate starts to work
6. Motor running, slowly open choke
7. Move gas lever to working position
8. Vibratory plate starts to work

1. Close the choke (but leave it open if the motor is
already warm)
2. Move the gas lever to the starting position
3. Set the start switch to “on”
4. Pull the starter cord strongly
5. Motor is running – slowly open the choke
6. Move the gas lever to the working position
7. Plate compactor will begin to function
Stopping the motor
1. Set the gas lever to slow.
2. Switch machine to OFF.
Operating the vibratory plate
Attention: Wear safety shoes in order to avoid
injuries.
Before putting the machine into operation it is im-
portant to study and observe the safety instruc-
tions.
Observe the national regulations for working when
using the vibratory plate on public ground or roads.
Keep persons, children and animals away from the
dangerous area.
Search the working area for foreign bodies and
remove them.
When leaving the vibratory plate, always shut
down the motor.
11. Maintenance
Before starting maintenance or repair work, always
shut down the motor.

The vee-belt must be re-tensioned after ve operat-
ing hours.
1 For tensioning the vee-belt, the bolts A of the
motor xing must be released on both sides. Fig.
