What to do if my Schumacher PSC-12500A Proseries Battery Charger has a short or no start cycle when cranking the engine?

If you experience a short or no start cycle when cranking the engine with your Schumacher Battery Charger, this could be due to several reasons. You might be drawing more amps than the charger can provide, in which case crank time varies with the amount of current drawn. Ensure you wait 3 minutes between cranks. Check for poor connections at the battery and frame, and ensure the AC cord and/or extension cord is not loose. Also, verify there is power at the receptacle by checking for an open fuse or circuit breaker. The charger may be overheated, requiring the thermal protector to reset. If the battery is severely discharged, charge for 10 to 15 minutes in the highest charge rate to help assist in cranking.
