4-8. HOVERING AND TAKEOFF (cont)
NOTE: Ex er cise cau tion to as sure that the throt tle sys -
tem is not in the over ride po si tion (full throt tle) when
re duc ing col lec tive to avert overspeed. Avoid ex ces -
sive nose down at ti tude.
4-9. CRUISE
1. Cruise in 2600 to 2700 rpm range.
2. Carb Heat (Helicopters with carbureted
engine - HO-360-C1A only) AS REQUIRED
CAU TION
In-flight leaning is not rec om mended.
CAU TION
(He li cop ters with carbureted engine - HO-360-C1A
only) If ground leaning pro ce dure was ac com plished at
high al ti tude, be sure the mix ture con trol is pushed back
in be fore de scending to lower al ti tude, oth er wise, engine
may quit. If engine stops, lower col lec tive, push mix ture
to full rich and re start using left hand. Do not dis en gage
clutch. (He li cop ters with fuel in jected engine -
HIO-360-G1A.) Do not lean.
3. Mixture Helicopters with
carbureted engine -
