In order to help protect your vehicle against corrosion, it’s very important
that you wash your vehicle regularly, following these suggestions:
• Use cold clean water and a mild vehicle soap.
• Wash your vehicle in the shade.
• If insects, tar or similar deposits have accumulated on your vehicle,
wash it as soon as possible.
• If you drive on salted or dust controlled roads or near the ocean, hose
off the undercarriage at least once a month.
• Ensure the drain holes in the lower edges of the doors and rocker panels
are clear.

• If you detect any stone chips or scratches in the paint, touch them up
immediately.

If your Scion is damaged due to an accident or any other cause which
destroys the paint and protective coating, have your vehicle repaired as soon
as possible. (The cost of these repairs is the responsibility of the owner.)
• If you carry special cargo such as chemicals, fertilizers, de-icer salt, etc.,
ensure that materials are well packaged and sealed.
• If you drive on gravel roads, consider installing mud or stone
shields behind each wheel.
