Why is my Scotsman HID312AW1 not dispensing water?

If your Scotsman Ice Maker isn't dispensing water, the issue could stem from a lack of water supply to the unit. Ensure that the water supply is restored. Alternatively, the water valve might not be opening. To check this, remove the upper front panel and observe the controller indicator lights. If the Water Dispense Sensed light doesn't illuminate when a container is placed in front of the sensor, the sensor isn't detecting the container. If the Water Dispense light does illuminate, press the Dispense Water button. If the water valve doesn't activate, verify the voltage at the valve. If there's no voltage, replace the controller; if there is voltage, replace the valve.

If your Scotsman Ice Maker is not dispensing water, here are a couple of things to check: * **No water to unit:** Ensure the unit has a water supply and restore it if necessary. * **Water valve not opening:** Remove the upper front panel and check the controller indicator lights. Hold a container in front of the sensor; if the Water Dispense Sensed light doesn't glow, the sensor isn't detecting the container or the button is not operating. If the Water Dispense light glows, push the Dispense Water button. If the water valve doesn't activate, check for voltage at the valve. If there's no voltage, replace the controller; if there is voltage, replace the valve.

If water is filling the drip tray in your Scotsman Ice Maker, it's likely due to a plugged main drain. To resolve this, remove the splash panel and inspect the basin for standing water. Clear the drain to and from the basin. If the drain is plugged with mold or slime, use a sanitizing agent to flush the drain line. To prevent future clogs, only allow water to go down the drain.

If your Scotsman Ice Maker isn't dispensing ice, several factors could be the cause. First, check if the unit is in Off mode; if so, remove the upper front panel, check the controller code, and push the On/Off button to restart. Ensure the unit has a water supply; a code 3 on the controller indicates a water issue. Also, confirm the unit has power; if the power light on the controller is off, restore power. If the controller displays code 4, it indicates a high-pressure control opening due to interrupted water flow (for water-cooled models); restore the water supply and reset the controller. A 'b' code on the controller suggests the ice level control is falsely sensing a full bin; clean the ice level control sensors. If the dispense motor isn't turning, remove the upper front panel and che...
