The provided manual describes the Scotsman TCL/S 180 Electronic Counter Cubelet Ice Dispenser, a machine designed for indoor installation that produces and dispenses cubelet ice. This model is also available in a "New PC Board version" and an "EVO Version" for dispensing.
The TCL/S 180 is an automatic and continuous ice-making and dispensing unit. It operates by chilling water in a freezing cylinder, where a rotating auger moves the slushy ice upward. The ice is then compacted, cracked by an ice breaker, and discharged as hard, dry cubelet ice into a storage bin. The machine automatically stops ice production when the storage bin is full, detected by an infrared optical system, and resumes when ice is dispensed.
Dispensing is initiated by selecting a mode (Ice, Ice+Water, or Water only, depending on the version) and placing a glass or carafe in front of optical dispensing devices. The unit then activates a drive motor and/or water solenoid valve to dispense the selected product through a bottom plastic spout. The EVO version offers touch-free dispensing with a factory-set 3-second ice-only dispensing time.
