GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 GENERAL
The Scully 280B Recorder/Reproducer, Figure 1-1,
is a professional magnetic tape recorder designed
primarily for use in recording studios, broadcast-
ing stations, and other applications that require
exacting performance specifications and reliability
standards. The complete Wlit consists of a tape
transport mechanism and electronics assembly.
The equipment can be mounted in a console or
a standard 19-inch (48.26 cm) equipment rack.
The configurations of the 280B Series are listed
in Table 1-1. Complete specifications for the 280B
Series are contained in Table 1-2.
