Emergency System – Heat Pump Systems Only
EMER bypasses the Heat Pump to use the heat source wired to terminal E on the thermostat. EMER is typically used when
compressor operation is not desired, or you prefer back-up heat only. If the heat pump system has two auxiliary heat sources
W1 and W2 can be activated at different temperatures based on SPAN settings.
1. Press the MODE button to select the EMER mode. "EMER" will appear in the SYSTEM box on the display.
2. Press ▲▼ buttons to adjust thermostat setting to 2°F above room temperature. The Aux heating system will begin to operate.
The display will show “Heat On” to indicate that the EMER system is operating.
3. Adjust temperature setting to 4°F （4°C ） above room temperature. The "Aux" system will begin to operate and "Aux Heat
on" will show on the display.
4. Adjust the thermostat setpoint below room temperature. The auxiliary heating system will stop operating.
Testing
Turn unit OFF, then press “PROG” and “PROG DAY” to enter programming mode.
Step 1 - Press the “PROG” key, until it displays “TEST”, change the parameter to “2” by pressing the "▲" button. The systems
will be activated automatically by stepping through each system.
Step 2 - Testing is finished; press the "RUN" key to exit the setting state.
NOTE: This item is only for testing, not for normal output. If the wires are left connected this test may be dangerous.
NOTE: The distance between the thermostat and receiver should be longer than 1m, if not it may fail to communicate, requiring
a return to the first step.
In the event that the Thermostat and Receiver haven't matched, press and hold the key on the right side of the receiver for at
least 3 seconds. Relays will open and close one by one. The program will exit testing after 3 cycles. This test can be terminated
by pressing and holding the button on the side for 3 seconds.
