Why does my Seiko 7T82 Watch temporarily gain or lose time?
    • T
      thorntontammyJul 31, 2025
Your Seiko Watch may temporarily gain or lose time if it has been exposed to extremely high or low temperatures. If this occurs, return the watch to a normal temperature and reset the time. Also, the watch may gain or lose time if it has been left close to an object with a strong magnetic field. To correct this, move the watch away from the magnetic source and reset the time. If resetting the time doesn't restore normal accuracy, contact the retailer.

      Jared WilliamsAug 25, 2025
If the STOPWATCH hands on your Seiko Watch do not return to the “0” position when the stopwatch is reset, it may be because the watch has been affected by magnetism or exposed to strong shocks or vibrations. Reset the stopwatch hands to the “0” position, following the procedure in "TIME AND CALENDAR SETTING AND STOPWATCH HAND POSITION ADJUSTMENT." If moisture has entered the watch because the gasket has deteriorated, contact the retailer from whom the watch was purchased.
