Overview

The SENCOR SBL 5750SS is a blender designed for household use, offering a range of functions for food processing. It is primarily intended for blending standard amounts of food and is equipped with features to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Function Description

The blender's core function is blending, facilitated by a robust motor unit and a blade assembly. It offers multiple speed settings, controlled by a speed dial, allowing users to adjust the blending intensity according to the ingredients and desired consistency. For quick bursts of maximum power, a dedicated PULSE function is available, which is particularly useful for achieving specific textures or for processing harder ingredients in short intervals.

Beyond basic blending, the SBL 5750SS includes specialized functions. An ICE CRUSH function is specifically designed for crushing ice, making it suitable for preparing cold beverages and cocktails. Additionally, a NUTRI SMART BLENDING function is integrated for creating nutritious drinks from fruits and vegetables, emphasizing the appliance's capability for health-conscious food preparation.

The blending jar has a capacity of 1.5 liters, with a recommended maximum fluid capacity of 1.2 liters, especially for liquids that expand during blending. The lid features an opening, allowing ingredients to be added safely while the blender is in operation. This opening is covered by a cap, which can also serve as a receptacle for adding smaller quantities of ingredients.

Usage Features

Before first use, it is essential to clean all parts that come into contact with food, including the cap, lid, sealing ring, blending jar, attachment collar, blade assembly, and its sealing ring. These parts should be washed thoroughly with hot water and a neutral kitchen detergent, rinsed, and dried. Special care must be taken when handling the blade assembly due to its sharp blades.

Assembly of the blending jar involves inserting the blade assembly into the attachment collar, placing the sealing ring onto the blade assembly, and then screwing the attachment collar firmly onto the blending jar from underneath. The lid, with its sealing ring, is then placed onto the blending jar and pushed down to ensure a secure fit. The cap is inserted into the lid's opening and turned clockwise to secure it.

To operate the blender, the assembled blending jar is placed onto the motor unit, where it can be seated in two directions, with the handle facing either right or left. The motor unit itself should be placed on a stable, dry surface. Before connecting the power cord, the speed dial must be set to the OFF position.

When blending, it is recommended to start with a slower speed to allow ingredients to mix, then increase the speed as needed. The lid should always be held down by hand during blending. The PULSE function can be activated by pressing and holding its button, and it automatically switches off upon release. This function is active even when the speed dial is set to OFF.

For optimal results, firm ingredients like fruits and vegetables should be cut into smaller pieces (2-3 cm) before blending. It is also advised to blend smaller amounts of ingredients first and gradually add more through the lid's opening. When blending solid food with liquids, it's best to start with a smaller amount of liquid, then gradually add the rest. For very thick liquids, using the PULSE function in short intervals can prevent the blade assembly from jamming. Ice cubes should be processed immediately after removal from the freezer to prevent them from sticking together as they melt.

The blender has a maximum continuous operating time of 2 minutes. For hard foods or very thick liquids, this duration is reduced to 1 minute. After continuous operation, the appliance should be allowed to cool down for at least 2 minutes before being used again. The appliance is equipped with a thermal fuse that protects the motor from overload. If an automatic shut-off occurs due to overload, the blender should be disconnected from the power socket and allowed to cool for at least 15 minutes before resuming operation.

If ingredients stick to the blade assembly or the blending jar walls, the appliance must be switched off and unplugged. After ensuring the blades have stopped rotating, the blending jar should be carefully removed, the lid taken off, and a plastic spatula used to clean the blade assembly and jar walls. The lid is then reattached, the jar placed back on the motor unit, and blending can continue.

Maintenance Features

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and proper functioning of the SENCOR SBL 5750SS. Before cleaning, the appliance must always be switched off, the speed control knob set to OFF, and the power cord disconnected from the socket. It is important to ensure that all rotating parts have come to a complete stop before disassembling the blending jar.

After each use, the assembled blending jar should be disassembled according to the instructions. All individual parts of the blending jar (cap, lid, sealing ring, blending jar, attachment collar, blade assembly, and its sealing ring) should be thoroughly washed with warm water and a neutral kitchen detergent. They should then be rinsed under clean running water and wiped dry with a fine cloth or allowed to air dry naturally. As with initial use, extreme caution must be exercised when handling the sharp blades of the blade assembly during cleaning.

The motor unit, which houses the electrical components, should never be submerged in water or any other liquid, nor washed under running water. To clean its outer surface, a cloth dipped in a weak detergent solution should be used. After applying the detergent, the surface should be wiped with a lightly dampened cloth and then dried. Abrasive cleaning agents, thinners, or solvents should not be used, as they can damage the appliance's surface.

When not in use, the blender should be stored in a dry place, out of reach of children. This helps protect the appliance from dust and potential damage, ensuring it remains in good condition for future use.
