Quick Start for SenseCAP Gateway & Sensors

Gateway Network Configuration

Ethernet Cable Connection

Connect the Ethernet cable for wired internet access. Solid green LED indicates successful connection.

Connect to WIFI

Enable AP Hotspot and Connect Computer

Activate AP hotspot by pressing button, then connect your computer to the SenseCAP network.

Login to Gateway Console

Use device label credentials and IP address to access the gateway's local console.

Select and Join WIFI Network

Navigate to Wireless settings, scan for networks, and select your Wi-Fi to join.

PoE Connection

Check Gateway Connection Status

LED Indicator Meanings

Interpret LED colors and blinking patterns to diagnose gateway operational status.

SenseCAP Mate App Status Check

Verify gateway connectivity by checking the 'Online status' within the SenseCAP Mate App.

Bind Gateway via SenseCAP Mate App

Download SenseCAP Mate App

Download the SenseCAP Mate App from the App Store or Google Play Store.

Login to SenseCAP Platform

Register for an account if new, then log in to the SenseCAP platform.

Scan QR Code to Add Gateway

Use the app's 'Add device' feature to scan the gateway's QR code.

Set Device Name and Location

Configure the device name and physical location for the gateway after successful binding.

Set up SenseCAP Sensors via Mate App

Power on and Enter Configuration Mode

Power on the sensor and press its button until the indicator blinks slowly.

Select Device Type and Connect

Choose the sensor type and click 'Setup' to connect via Bluetooth.

Select Frequency Plan

Set the sensor's frequency plan to match your gateway's frequency.

SenseCAP Portal and Mate App Features

Check Gateway Status

View gateway information and status on the SenseCAP Portal and Mate App.

View Sensor Data

Monitor sensor measurements like temperature, humidity, and CO2 on the Portal and App.
