The SereneLife SLPAC8 is a portable air conditioner designed for compact home use, offering AC cooling, dehumidification, and fan modes. This unit is equipped with an 8,000 BTU cooling capacity and includes a window mount kit for easy installation.
Function Description:
The SLPAC8 operates in three main modes: AC Cooling, Dehumidifier, and Fan.
- Cooling Mode: When activated, the cooling indicator lamp lights up. Users can adjust the setting temperature between 16°C and 30°C (60°F and 86°F) using the Up/Down keys. The fan speed can be set to High, Mid, or Low using the Speed key.
- Fan Mode: In this mode, the wind indicator lamp lights up. Users can select High, Mid, or Low fan speeds, but the temperature cannot be set.
- Dehumidification Mode: When this mode is selected, the dehumidification indicator lamp lights up. For optimal dehumidification, the dehumidification water wedge should be removed, and a water manifold inserted, with the other end placed into a water vessel or drainage passage. The compressor activates if the room temperature is 17°C (62°F) or higher. If the temperature drops to 15°C (59°F) or below, the compressor turns off and restarts when the temperature rises above 17°C (62°F) (with a 3-minute delay for compressor protection). In this mode, the fan defaults to low speed, and the wind speed cannot be adjusted. Temperature settings are also unavailable. If the internal water vessel becomes full, the display will show "FL," and the compressor will stop automatically. Draining the water will restore normal operation.
- Sleep Mode (Optional): Available in cooling mode, sleep mode can be activated by pressing the sleep mode key on the remote controller or simultaneously pressing the time and down keys on the unit. This mode sets the fan to low speed, which cannot be adjusted. Pressing the sleep mode key again or the time and down keys together will exit sleep mode. If the wind speed key is pressed in sleep mode, the screen will display "SL."
- Timer Mode: In standby, the Timer key can be used to set an ON time (0-24H) using the Up and Down keys, with the timer indicator lamp lighting up. When the unit is ON, the Timer key can be used to set an OFF time (0-24H), also using the Up and Down keys, with the timer indicator lamp lighting up.
The unit features a digital touch button control panel with an LED display for showing adjusted temperature and time. A remote controller is included for convenient operation, featuring keys for Power, Mode, Temperature/Time adjustment, Speed, Timer, °C/°F switching, and Sleep.

Usage Features:
- Placement: The unit should be placed on an even, dry surface, at least 50cm away from surrounding objects to ensure proper airflow and compressor operation. It must be installed vertically.
- Installation: The exhaust duct assembly screws into the air outlet behind the panel (counterclockwise). The air exhaust hose is then inserted into the window sealing plate, which is adjustable in length to match the window's opening width. The exhaust duct should be kept smooth and free from sharp bends, with a maximum developed length of 1,500mm. It is recommended to shorten it and keep it horizontal during installation.
- Portability: Equipped with rolling wheels, the unit is easy to move.
- Ease of Use: Features hassle-free, quick setup cooling and simple electric plug-in operation.
- Climate Control: Provides convenient wide-area climate control for rooms.
- Remote Control: Includes a battery-operated remote control (requires 2 x 'AAA' batteries).
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning: Before cleaning, the unit must be unplugged. Wipe the surface with a soft, semi-dry cloth. Avoid using chemical reagents like benzene, alcohol, or gasoline, as these can damage the unit's surface and components. Prevent water from splashing into the A/C.
- Filter Screen: The filter screen should be washed every two weeks, or more frequently if blocked by dust, to maintain efficiency. To clean, remove the air inlet grille, pull out the filter screen from both sides, wash it in warm water (around 40°C or 104°F) with neutral detergent, and then dry it in a shady place before reassembling.
- Seasonal Cleaning/Storage: If the unit will not be used for an extended period:
- Pull out the water plug to drain any remaining water.
- Run the A/C in fan mode for 2 hours to dry the inside.
- Turn off and unplug the unit.
- Wash and reassemble the filter screen.
- Dismantle and properly store the exhaust duct.
- Cover the A/C with a plastic bag and store it in a dry location.
- Automatic Water Vaporization System: The product is equipped with an automatic water vaporization system, where the condenser is cooled by circulating condensing water, enhancing cooling efficiency and saving energy.
Error Detection and Troubleshooting:
The unit features intelligent error detection with specific codes:
- E1: Error of the coil's temperature sensor.
- E2: Error of indoor temperature sensor.
- E4: Anti-freezing protection activated (coil temperature too low, unit turns off; resumes when temperature exceeds 8°C or 46.4°F).
Troubleshooting guide for common issues:
- A/C doesn't work: Check for no display (reset circuit breaker), "FL" display (restart after draining), or if Time OFF function is started (unit will restart 3 minutes after turning off).
- A/C starts frequently: Could be due to direct sunlight (draw curtain), open doors/windows or heat sources in the room (close/remove them), dirty filter screen (clean/replace), or blocked air inlet/outlet (remove obstruction).
For any abnormal operation, turn off and unplug the A/C, then contact professional maintenance personnel.
