Troubleshooting by yourself
To ensure that you do not encounter any problems, it is important to empty the dust container regularly and
take this opportunity to check the lters and clean them if they are dirty. However, if you do encounter any
problems with the appliance, use the following table to determine whether you can solve the problem yourself.
∙ Always switch off the appliance and detach it from the charging base before troubleshooting.
Problem Possible cause / solution
Appliance cannot be switched
on.
The battery is at, and the LEDs on the handle are off. Switch off the appliance and
charge the battery (“3 Installing and charging the appliance”).
The appliance cannot be
charged
(LED does not light up).
The mains adapter or appliance is not correctly inserted: Check that the appliance is
correctly seated in the charging base. Check that the mains adapter is correctly plugged
into the power outlet (see “Charging the battery with the charging base”).
The rechargeable battery is
fully charged but the appliance
is hardly picking up any dirt.
Empty the dust container or clean the lter (see “Emptying the dust container”,
“Cleaning the dust container and lter”).
Operating duration
is becoming ever shorter.
Clean the lter (see “Cleaning the dust container and lter”).
