INTRODUCTION
Thank you for buying our coffee dispenser Podstar.
This is an easy-to-use product designed to fit in small places and to be easily cleaned.
Read carefully this instructions manual before using it. Keep the manual for future
reference. Check product conditions after transport.

GENERAL SAFETY NOTICE
Before connecting the dispenser make sure that the electric system is correctly grounded
and that power supply specifications correspond to those reported on the plate on the
dispenser bottom.
Place the dispenser on a flat, sturdy surface, far from heat sources or air draught.
Do not pull the power cable or the dispenser to disconnect it from the electric outlet.
Use a damp cloth to clean the dispenser. Never immerse the dispenser in water.
DISPENSER USE INSTRUCTIONS (Pic.2)
Before using the dispenser for the first time, lift the tank cover and remove tank . Wash it
carefully and fill it with fresh water. Replace it.
Check that the knob is on the symbol, and filter-holder is closed with the handle rotated
to the right .
Connect the dispenser plug to a grounded electric outlet.
Turn on the dispenser using the main switch x. The red light y will come on and the green
light z will blink. When the light z remains steadily on, the dispenser is ready to be used.
Insert the card U in the proper slot T as indicated in the picture 1. (For information on how
to use the chip card, refer to the chip card-specific instructions sheet, provided separately).
CAUTION: the dispensing can only be enabled if there are enough charge credits
available in the chip card.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
For a good "espresso" coffee cups and dispenser must be warm. We suggest you to turn it
on 5-10 minutes before use and to warm up cups placing them on the warming cover .
WARNING:before using the unit for the first time, when it has not been used for a long
time or when kept without water, pour a cup of water from the milk-frothing wand following
the steps described in STEAM AND/OR HOT WATER SUPPLY on the instruction manual.

ATENCIÓN:La primera vez que se usa, en caso de largo período de inactividad del
aparato o si permanece sin agua, antes de hacer el café es necesario erogar una taza de
agua a través del tubo para montar la leche siguiendo el apartado EROGACIÓN DEL
VAPOR Y/O AGUA CALIENTE del manual de instrucciones.
Si no se efectúa esta operación, se puede dañar gravemente la máquina y el fabricante
declina inmediatamente toda responsabilidad sobre el funcionamiento de la misma.
Además, se aconseja que al usarla por primera vez, se haga circular a través de la boca
de erogación del café, aproximadamente la mitad del depósito de agua, haciendo fluir el
agua en una taza; la operación también puede realizarse sin la presencia de
pastilla/cápsula, o bien utilizando una usada.
Para el procedimiento leer el apartado “Preparación del café”.
Dicha operación deberá repetirse en caso de largo período de inactividad de la máquina.
PREPARACIÓN DEL CAFÉ (fig.3)
Después de activar la máquina por medio de la tarjeta chip, siga estas instrucciones:
!Abra el portafiltro, girando el agarre hacia izquierda , ponga la cápsula sobre el filtro y
cierre girando el agarre hacia derecha hasta el final de carrera .
!Ponga la taza sobre la rejilla Ž debajo del pico de erogación del café .
!Erogue el café girando el pomo en sentido horario sobre el signo .
!Una vez alcanzada la cantidad querida, interrumpa la erogación volviendo a poner el
pomo en posición central .
!Espere 5 segundos, luego abra el portafiltro girando el agarre hacia izquierda y quite el
sobre usado.
Quite siempre el sobre usado después de la erogación del café.
EROGACIÓN DEL CAFÉ Y/O DEL AGUA CALIENTE (fig.1- 4)
No toque NUNCA el tubo del vapor F-G (fig.1) con las manos para evitar quemaduras,
oriéntelo en la posición querida utilizando la barra de mando E (fig.1).
Para obtener el vapor siga las siguientes instrucciones:
!Asegúrese que el portafiltro está abierto, que el agarre está girado hacia izquierda y sin
cápsula .
!Sumerja el canuto del tubo vapor hacia la mitad en la lechera contenente leche.
!Ponga el interruptor sobre el signo .
!Gire el pomo en sentido anti-horario en posición sobre el símbolo para comenzar la
erogación del vapor.
!Una vez alcanzada la cantidad de espuma querida, interrumpa la erogación volviendo a
poner el mango en posición central .
Junte ahora la leche al café expreso que ha preparado antes.
Se recomienda utilizar la erogación de vapor durante un tiempo máximo de un minuto
seguido de un tiempo de reposo de al menos treinta segundos.
Para obtenere agua caliente, siga las siguientes instrucciones:
!Asegúrese que el portafiltro está abierto con el agarre girado hacia izquierda y sin
cápsula
!Ponga una taza debajo del tubo del vapor .
!Ponga el interruptor sobre el signo .
!Gire el pomo en sentido anti-horario en posición sobre el signo para comenzar la
erogación del agua caliente.
!Una vez alcanzada la cantidad de agua querida, vuelva a poner el pomo en posición
central .
FALTA DE AGUA (fig.1)
Cuando se verifica esta situación el indicador de falta de agua L se enciende y la
