Overview

The Shark APEX® Corded Stick Vac ZS360 is a versatile vacuum cleaner designed for floor-to-ceiling cleaning, featuring DuoClean® technology and Zero-M™ self-cleaning brushroll. This quick start guide provides essential information for assembly, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description:

The Shark APEX® Corded Stick Vac ZS360 is a powerful and adaptable vacuum cleaner engineered to tackle various cleaning tasks, from hard floors to carpets and above-floor surfaces. Its primary function is to provide efficient suction and debris removal, leveraging advanced brushroll technology to ensure thorough cleaning. The vacuum can be used in an upright mode for floor cleaning, or as an above-floor cleaner with either the wand or handheld unit for elevated surfaces, stairs, and furniture.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: ZS360
  • Technology: DuoClean® and Zero-M™
  • Power Source: Corded
  • Included Components: Handheld Vacuum, Motorized Floor Nozzle, Wand, 5" Crevice Tool, Pet Multi-Tool.

Usage Features:

Assembly:

The vacuum is easily assembled in two main steps:

  1. Connect the motorized floor nozzle to the wand. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
  2. Connect the handheld vacuum to the top of the wand. Ensure it clicks securely into place.

Versatile Floor-to-Ceiling Cleaning:

  • Upright Mode: For cleaning floors, place your foot on the floor nozzle and tilt the handheld vacuum back. This mode is ideal for general floor cleaning.
  • Above-Floor with Wand: To clean elevated surfaces like baseboards, ceiling fans, and window sills, stand the vacuum upright, step on the foot pedal on the bottom left side of the floor nozzle, and pull the wand up to disconnect it. All accessories are compatible with the wand.
  • Above-Floor with Handheld: For cleaning stairs and furniture, press the Wand Release button and lift the handheld vacuum off the wand. All accessories are compatible with the handheld vacuum.

DuoClean® Technology:

This technology features two brushrolls working in unison to clean different floor types effectively.

  • On Floors (Bare Floor/Small Area Rugs - Setting I): Direct engagement with the Soft Roller removes large particles, small particles, and stuck-on dust. The brushrolls spin slowly to aid in debris pickup, providing a gentle clean for bare floors and small area rugs.
  • On Carpets (Carpet - Setting II): The Soft Roller pulls in large particles, while the deep-cleaning brushroll removes embedded fine dirt. The brushrolls spin faster in this setting to optimize cleaning performance for carpets, helping to pick up debris below the surface. For deep cleaning per ASTM F 608 (embedded dirt in carpet), Setting II is recommended.

Storage:

  • Onboard Hook: The handheld vacuum can be hung on the hook located on the bottom of the wand. The power cord can then be wrapped around the cord hooks for neat storage.

Troubleshooting:

  • Vacuum lifts area rugs: Turn off the unit to disengage the brushroll and restart with the Power button.
  • Vacuum is not picking up debris / No suction or light suction: Empty the dust cup, clean the filters, and check all openings for blockages.

Maintenance Features:

Emptying the Dust Cup:

  • Empty the dust cup every time debris reaches the MAX fill line to maintain optimal suction.

Brushroll/Soft Roller Access:

  1. Opening the Brushroll Garage: Slide both release buttons on the floor nozzle away from you (towards the back of the nozzle), then lift off the lid.
  2. Closing the Brushroll Garage: Insert the 3 tabs on top of the lid into the 3 slots in the nozzle. Push down on both sides of the lid until it clicks securely into place. If the Brushroll Indicator Light isn't green and headlights are flashing, recheck that both sides of the lid are locked.

Brushroll Maintenance:

  • With the garage lid removed, carefully clear away any debris that may be impeding the brushroll.
  • Zero-M™ Technology: If hair is wrapped around the brushroll, continue cleaning using Setting II (Carpet) on bare floors. This technology is designed to remove hair wrap and send it to the dust cup.

Cleaning the Soft Roller:

  • Lift out the Soft Roller by pulling the tab on the right side.
  • Clear away any debris.
  • Slide the Soft Roller back into place.

Checking the Nozzle for Blockages:
