Why is there no suction in my Shark UV420?
    • J
      Jason TaylorAug 1, 2025
If your Shark Vacuum Cleaner has restricted airflow and weak or no suction, several factors could be the cause. The filters may need cleaning; check them and follow the instructions for rinsing and drying before re-inserting. Also, the dust cup might be full, so empty it. Check the hose, hose connections, nozzles, and accessories for any blockages and clear them. In some cases, closing the suction release on the hose can increase suction power. If the dust cup is empty and the attachment inlets are clear, inspect for any other blockages.

What to do if my Shark Vacuum Cleaner turns off by itself?

      Bobby BurtonAug 8, 2025
If your Shark Vacuum Cleaner turns off on its own, it may be overheating. Move the On/Off switch to the 'O' (Off) position and unplug the vacuum. Empty the dust cup and clean the filters. Check for blockages in the hose, accessories, and inlet openings. Allow the unit to cool for at least 45 minutes. Plug the vacuum back in and turn the On/Off switch to the 'I' (On) position to restart it.
