Replacement
Improper
handling
of
batteries
can
cause
electrolyte
leakage
or
explosion.
Be
sure
to
observe
the
fol-
lowing
handling
rules:
e
Replace
both
batteries
at
the
same
time.
e
Do
not
mix
new
and
used
batteries.
e
Make
sure
the
new
baiteries
are
the
correct
type.
e
When
installing,
orient
each
battery
properly
as
indicated
in
the
calculator.
Caution
e
Keep
the
batteries
out
of
the
reach
of
children.
e
Exhausted
batteries
left
in
the
calculator
may
leak
and
damage
the
calculator.
e
Explosion
risk
may
be
caused
by
incorrect
han-
dling.
e
These
batteries
must
be
replaced
only
with
others
of
the
same
type.
Replacement
Procedure
1.
Turn
the
power
off
by
pressing
(OFF)
.
2.
Remove
the
two
screws
on
the
back
and
remove
the
back
cover.
3.
Remove
the
used
batteries
LR44
by
prying
them
with
a
ball-
point
pen
or
other
similar
pointed
device.

Install
two
new
batteries

their
positive
terminals
facing
up.
