  • Power Management: The hob has an integrated power management system that can reduce power if the maximum power is exceeded, indicated by a blinking cooking zone display.
  • Residual Heat Indicator: Displays "H" when a cooking zone is hot and dangerous to touch, remaining until the temperature drops to a safe level.
  • Cooling Fan: The hob is equipped with a cooling fan. An error code E1 indicates if it is disabled.

Usage Features:

The hob is controlled via a touch control unit with various buttons and displays. Each button press is confirmed by an audible buzzer sound.

  • On/Off Control: The appliance can be switched on by pressing the ON/OFF button. All heater displays will show "0" and bottom right dots will blink. If no cooking zone is selected within 20 seconds, the hob automatically switches off. It can be switched off at any time by pressing the ON/OFF button, which has priority over the automatic switch-off function.
  • Heat Settings: Cooking zones can be activated by pressing the corresponding heater selection button. Heat settings range from 0 (element off) to 9 (maximum heat), with intermediate settings for delicate warming (1-3), gentle simmering (4-5), reheating and rapid simmering (6-7), and boiling/sautéing/searing (8).
  • Boost Function (P): This function provides maximum heat for faster boiling times. It can be activated by selecting a desired cooking level and then pressing the "P" button. If activated, a "P" will be shown on the display.
  • Smart Pause (II): When activated, this function reduces the power of all active burners to level 1, and "II" appears on all displays. Deactivating Smart Pause returns heaters to their previous temperature levels. If not deactivated, the cooktop switches off after 30 minutes.
  • Safety Switch-Off Function: Cooking zones automatically switch off if the heat setting has not been modified for a specified duration. The duration depends on the selected heat setting (e.g., 6 hours for settings 1-2, 1.5 hours for settings 6-9).
  • Child Lock (L): This function locks the controls to prevent accidental operation. To activate, simultaneously press the increase and decrease heat setting buttons, then press the increase heat setting button again. "L" will appear on all heater displays. To deactivate, follow a similar sequence, pressing the decrease heat setting button last.
  • Key Lock: This function sets a "safe mode" during operation, preventing any adjustments to heat settings. Only switching off the appliance is possible. It is activated by pressing the key lock button for at least 2 seconds, confirmed by a buzzer and a flashing key lock indicator.
  • Timer Function: Available in two versions:
    • Minute Minder Timer (1-99 min.): Can be used when cooking zones are off. Displays "00" with a blinking dot. Set time using increase/decrease buttons. A signal sounds when the timer reaches zero.
    • Cooking Zone Timer (1-99 min.): An independent timer can be programmed for each cooking zone when the hob is on. It switches off the assigned cooking zone when the time runs down. Four LEDs around the timer indicate which zone is set.
  • Special Cooking Modes:
    • Boiling Function (b): Used to boil water and keep it near boiling point. Activated by pressing the heater selection button twice. The hob beeps when water has boiled.
    • Frying Function (F): Heats oil to approximately 160°C. Activated by pressing the heater selection button three times. The hob beeps when oil is ready for frying.
    • Keep-Warm Function (u): Keeps food at approximately 50°C. Activated by pressing the heater selection button four times.
    • Chocolate-Melting Function (c): Melts chocolate or similar foods at approximately 40°C. Activated by pressing the heater selection button five times.
  • Cookware Compatibility: Requires thick, flat, smooth-bottomed cookware made of steel, enamelled steel, cast iron, or stainless steel. Cookware made from aluminum, non-ferromagnetic stainless steel, glass, copper, brass, ceramic, or porcelain is unsuitable. A magnet can be used to check compatibility. Minimum cookware diameters are specified for each zone size.
