Is there the SPDIF signal output (OPT_OUT) at pin (J28) of IC8001 (CPU)?
YES

Check the IC8001 and its peripheral circuits.
Is there the SPDIF signal (OPT_OUT) input at pin (1) of IC1304 (SPDIF BUFFER)?
YES
NO
Check the line between IC8001 and IC1304.
Is there the MUTE signal input at pin (7) of IC1304? (usual: High, Mute: Low)
YES
NO
Check the MUTE_A_ALL and AC_DET signals, and their peripheral circuits
(Q1304, D1301, D1310, etc.).
Is there the SPDIF signal input at pin (1) of D1306 (OPTICAL OUTPUT)?
YES NO
Check the speakers and the optical cable. Check D1306 and its peripheral circuits.
No optical output under the following conditions as per HDMI requirements.
* Audio contents protected.
* Audio frequency beyond 48kHz.
* Audio bit length beyond 16bits.
No monitor audio output
Is the audio output from the monitor set at “VARIABLE” or “FIXED” on the menu screen?

Check IC8001 (CPU) and its peripheral circuits.
Are there the audio signal outputs at pins (N27) (PGA1OUT_L) and (N28) (PGA1OUT_R) of IC8001 (CPU)?
YES

Check IC8001 (CPU) and its peripheral circuits.
Does the audio signal come from pins (N27) (PGA1OUT_L) and (N28) (PGA1OUT_R) of IC8001 to pins (2) (L) and (4) (R) of J505?
YES
NO
Check the line between IC8001 and J505 and their peripheral circuits.
Check the LINE_MUTE line and its peripheral circuits (Q1311, etc.).
Check the connector (J505) and their peripheral circuits, and speakers and the Cable.
