The 24 - digit liquid crystal display is divided into hal f. H1
t hrough H7 are used for backplate signal from the fi r s t digit
t o the twelfth dig i t , and H8 through H14 are used fo r back -
plate signal from the thirteenth digit to the twenty fou r th
digit . Therefore, the LCD operates under the 1 / 14 duty .
