PRE-DELIVERY CHECKLIST
CHECK AND ADJUST AS REQUIRED
SXM54, SXM60 MOWER DECK
PRE-DELIVERY CHECKLIST
Inspect the Mid-Mount Mower thoroughly after
assembly to be certain it is setup properly before
delivery to the customer.
The following checklist is a reminder of points to
inspect. Check off each item as it is found to be
satisfactory, or after proper adjustment and
lubrication is made.
( ) Check all bolts and other fasteners to be
sure they are correctly torqued.
( ) Check that all cotter pins are properly
installed.
( ) Check and make sure the driveshaft is
installed correctly, and make sure the lock
collar is seated on the tractor PTO shaft.
( ) Make sure the gearbox is properly serviced
and the seals are not leaking.
( ) Check and MAKE SURE the blades are
correctly installed and correctly torqued. 98
-118 N·m.
( ) Make sure all Safety Shields are installed
and securely in place.
( ) Make sure all Safety Decals are in place
and readable (Refer to pages 4-5 – 4-6 for
decal location and identification).
DANGER
Always use an approved roll over protective
structure (ROPS) for safe operation.
Overturning a tractor without a ROPS, can
result in serious injury or death. If your
tractor is not equipped with a ROPS, see your
SHIBAURA Dealer.
DELIVERY CHECKLIST
( ) Show customer how to make adjustments
and how to check blade condition and
security.
( ) Explain the importance of proper
lubrication, and point out the lubrication
points on the mower.
( ) Point out the Safety Features and options,
and explain the importance of safety
shielding.
( ) Add wheel weights, ballast in tires, and/or
rear weight as necessary to improve
tractor/mower stability.
( ) Make sure the tractor is equipped with a
ROPS and seat belt, and explain the
importance of their use.
( ) Explain the importance of correct lighting
when operating at night, or close to public
roadways.
( ) Give the Operator's Manual to the
customer. Ask him to read and familiarize
himself with manual information, especially
all Safety Precautions.
DAILY CHECKLIST
( ) Check and make sure the mower is
properly and securely attached to the
tractor.
( ) Make sure all safety shields and guards
are securely in place.
( ) Check all bolts and fasteners to be sure
they are tight and clevis and cotter pins are
secure.
( ) Check the condition of the mowing blades
and make sure they are correctly torqued
in place.
( ) Check air pressure in the tractor tires. (See
the applicable Tractor Operator's Manual
for tire pressures).
