Usage Features

General Safety Instructions:

  • Read and understand the manual before installation or use.
  • Designed for use with ShoreStation dock systems only; do not modify or use for other purposes.
  • Children must not be left unattended on or around the ladder.
  • Only one person should use the ladder at a time.
  • Retract the ladder from the water when not in use to prevent 'slime' build-up.
  • Ensure both snap buttons are fully engaged before use.

DA0017-15 Stationary Dock Assembly and Installation:

  • Assembly:
    • Sort all items by size.
    • Locate the dock accessory mounting bracket and the dock ladder mounting bracket weldment.
    • Orient the two parts as shown in the drawing, noting that the mounting brackets will position the ladder at an angle.
    • Align holes and attach the two weldments using four (4) 3/8" x 3/4" carriage bolts. Ensure bolt heads are placed so the square portion mates with the square holes in the dock ladder mounting bracket.
    • Secure with four (4) 3/8" lock washers and hex nuts; tighten.
  • Installation:
    • Each stationary dock leg frame has four ears for the dock accessory mounting bracket.
    • Raise the accessory mounting bracket to the top of the dock leg and slip it onto the dock leg above the ears.
    • Slide it down the leg over the ears until they interlock, securing the bracket to the leg.
    • The ladder rungs are spaced to allow one rung to slide over the top square mounting tube and the rung below to slip over the next square tube, enabling height adjustment relative to the water level.
    • Place the ladder rungs onto the square tubes of the dock ladder mounting bracket. Press the spring-loaded retainer pins in the top square tube to slide the ladder completely over the tubes.
    • When fully down, the spring pins will snap into the holes provided in the ladder rung, locking it in position.
    • To adjust height or remove, press the spring-loaded pins and raise the ladder. Reposition as needed.
    • Assembly and installation are complete.

DA0041-15 Floating Dock Assembly and Installation:

  • Assembly:
    • Break bundles and sort all items by size.
    • Locate the floating dock connector weldment and the dock ladder mounting bracket.
    • Select the mounting position on the floating dock.
    • Remove the 3/8" x 2" hex bolt assembly from the top side of the floating dock connector weldment.
    • Insert the floating dock connector weldment into the selected notch molded in the side of the floating dock section. Raise the unit up and secure in place using the previously removed bolt assembly; tighten.

SBA017-15 ShoreBridge Assembly and Installation:

  • Assembly:
    • Break bundles and sort all items by size.
    • Locate the ShoreBridge mounting bracket.
    • Mount the bracket to the long uprights in the side (not the center upright) using 3/8 X 2 & 7/16 X 3 square u-bolts, stainless steel flat washers, and brass lock nuts with nylon inserts.
    • Locate the dock ladder mounting bracket weldment.

Maintenance Features

  • Regular Inspection: Inspect all components and fasteners regularly for damage, tightness, and deterioration.
  • Replacement: Replace any damaged component before using the ladder.
  • Retraction: Retract the ladder from the water when it is not in use to prevent 'slime' build-up.
