How to fix a SHOWTEC LED PAR 64 SHORT Light Fixture with no light and no movement?
    • C
      Christopher GriffinJul 31, 2025
If your SHOWTEC Light Fixture has no light and no movement, it could be due to the power supply or the fuse. First, check that the unit is properly plugged into an appropriate power supply. If the power supply is fine, replace the fuse. Refer to page 15 for instructions on replacing the fuse.

What to do if my SHOWTEC Light Fixture doesn't respond to DMX?
    • J
      johnsonandrewAug 4, 2025
If your SHOWTEC Light Fixture is not responding to DMX, the issue might be with the DMX cable, connectors, a controller malfunction, or a light effect DMX card malfunction. Here are some steps to troubleshoot: * Check the DMX cable: Unplug the unit, change the DMX cable, and then reconnect it to electrical power. * Determine whether the controller or light effect is at fault. Does the controller operate properly with other DMX products? If not, take the controller in for repair. If so, take the DMX cable and the light effect to a qualified technician.

      Jeff BeasleyAug 8, 2025
If one or more SHOWTEC Light Fixtures are completely dead, the cause may be no power to the fixture or a blown primary fuse. Check that the power is switched on and the cables are plugged in. If the power is on, replace the fuse.

Why do all SHOWTEC Light Fixtures respond erratically or not at all after resetting?
    • T
      Todd AndersonAug 17, 2025
If all SHOWTEC Light Fixtures respond erratically or not at all to the controller after resetting, the controller might not be connected, or the 3-pin XLR Out of the controller might not match the XLR Out of the first fixture. Ensure the controller is connected. If it is, install a phase-reversing cable between the controller and the first fixture on the link.

      Angel PerezAug 21, 2025
The lamp in your SHOWTEC Light Fixture may cut out intermittently if the fixture is too hot, or if the power supply settings do not match the local AC voltage and frequency. Allow the fixture to cool and improve the air conditioning. Disconnect the fixture and check the power supply settings, correcting them if necessary.

If there is no light coming from your SHOWTEC Light Fixture, it could be due to the power supply settings or damaged LEDs. What to do if SHOWTEC Light Fixtures reset correctly, but some respond erratically to the controller?
    • J
      Jared McgeeNov 11, 2025
If your SHOWTEC Light Fixtures reset correctly but some respond erratically or not at all to the controller, it could be due to poor data quality, a bad data link connection, the data link not being terminated, incorrect addressing, a defective fixture, or mismatched XLR pins. Here's how to troubleshoot: * Check data quality. If much lower than 100 percent, the problem may be a bad data link connection, poor quality or broken cables, missing termination plug, or a defective fixture disturbing the link. * Inspect connections and cables. Correct poor connections. Repair or replace damaged cables. * Insert a termination plug in the output jack of the last fixture on the link. * Check the address setting. * Bypass one fixture at a time until normal operation is regained: unplug both...
