Why does my SHUR-DRI SD106-01 stop without warning?

If your SHUR-DRI Water Pump stops without warning, it might have overheated, causing the thermal overload to trip. In this case, wait for the overload to reset; the pump will automatically restart. Other potential causes include a discharge hose that's too long or a discharge lift higher than 28 feet (use a shorter hose or reduce the lift), the pump body not oiled (add oil through the inlet port), a suction hose that's too long or too small (use a 1/2" suction hose, 25’ long or less), a worn impeller (replace it), suction leaks (replace the hose washer and check for leaks), or a suction hose that's kinked or coiled (straighten it out).
