  If a microphone on your Shure Conference System cannot be turned on, check that all cabling for DIS equipment is Cat 5e or higher with shielded RJ45 cables. Also, check the settings for Max. Delegate Speaker and Max. Total Speakers to ensure there is capacity for another microphone to be activated. Finally, verify the Operation Mode to confirm it allows participants to turn on their own microphones.

  If the DIS-CCU browser application will not open on a tablet or laptop, use the interactive menu on the CCU to check the IP address under LAN setup > Acquire IP address, and use this IP address in your browser. Verify that the tablet or laptop is connected to the correct wireless access point and that the DIS-CCU is connected to the same subnet as the wireless access point.

Why can't I hear the audio from an interpreter unit in my Shure DCS 6000?

  If the audio from an Interpreter Unit cannot be heard in the headphone of Delegate or Chairman Units within your Shure Conference System, check that the unit is configured as an Interpreter Unit. Also, check the headphone volume control on the units, the channel selection on the microphone units, and that the headphone plug is firmly inserted in the headphone jack. Finally, ensure that the light ring on the microphone on the Interpreter Unit is illuminated and that the gooseneck microphone is firmly inserted in the socket.

  If the 'Del. Off' button on the Chairman Unit does not switch off the Delegate Units in your Shure Conference System, check to make sure the unit is configured as a Chairman Unit.

  If the light rings on the microphone are constantly flashing after the Shure Conference System is powered on, check that cables are shielded Cat 5e (or higher).
