      If there is no sound from your Shure Microphone system, ensure that both the transmitter and receiver are getting enough power. The receiver needs at least 90 Vac. Also, check the battery indicator on the transmitter and replace the battery if needed. Verify that all cables and connectors are in good working order.

You might also use an active directional antenna, antenna distribution system, or other antenna accessory to increase RF range.

      To resolve excessive hum or buzzing in your Shure Microphone system, if you are using the XLR connector, set the GND/LIFT switch on the receiver to LIFT. This lifts the ground on pin 1 of the XLR output on the receiver, which can sometimes remove the hum or buzz.
