2.1 Type designation
3AH5 vacuum circuit-breakers are identified by a machine-
readable product designation made up of a series of figures
and letters, whose first 8 places can be found on the name
plate of the circuit-breakers. In connection with the serial
number stated on the name plate, the machine-readable
product designation provides a full description of the circuit-
breaker. The figure below shows what the individual places of
the basic machine-readable product designation stand for:
1 Basic type
2 Rated voltage code and pole-center distance code
3 Rated short circuit breaking current code
4 Rated normal current code

2.1 Typbezeichnung
Die V-Schalter 3AH5 sind mit einer maschinenlesbaren Fabri-
katebezeichnung (MLFB) gekennzeichnet. Sie besteht aus
einer mehrstelligen Ziffern-Buchstabenkombination, deren
erste 8 Stellen auf dem Leistungsschild des Schalters darge-
stellt sind. In Verbindung mit der auf dem Leistungsschild
vermerkten Fabriknummer ermöglicht die MLFB die vollstän-
dige Beschreibung des Schalter. Die Bedeutung der einzelnen
Stellen der Grund-MLFB ist nachfolgend dargestellt:
1 Grundtypbezeichnung
2 Kennzahl für Bemessungsspannung und Polmittenabstand
3 Kennzahl für Bemessungs-Kurzschlussausschaltstrom
4 Kennzahl für Bemessungsbetriebsstrom
