Beginning an Exam
1. Press NEW PATIENT in the upper left corner of keyboard.
2. Enter patient information using TAB to get to next datafield.
3. Select transducer and exam type from drop down menus.
4. Select OK or ESCAPE/PRIORIT Y to begin scanning.
Optimizing Image
To adjust for... Do this...

Less noise in image Press THI key
Brightness level Rotate 2D knob
More focal zones Press FOCUS knob & turn to adjust position
Increase penetration
Toggle far left key down (MULTIHERTZ on soft key
menu)
Exam type Press EXAM key, SET key to select
Transducer type Press TRANSDUCER button to change automatically
Measure
1. FREEZE, choose measurement type from soft key menu, select CALIPER,
place caliper using trackball, press SET. Roll next caliper with trackball,
then press SET.
2. Press CALIPER again to get another set.
3. To remove CALIPERS, unfreeze the image.
