Intended use
The flame detector measures infrared radiation and can
therefore detect organic material fires with and without
smoke.
FDF221-9 can be used in indoor areas without deceptive
phenomena.
Thanks to extended sensory technology, FDF241-9 is not
susceptible to deceptive phenomena (e.g. the sun) and
can therefore also be used in outdoor areas.
Assembly
The installation process depends on the detector line type
(collective or FDnet/C-NET).
Setting parameter set (collective)
For collective operation, the parameter set is set via the
DIP switches in the flame detector.
1. Loosen screw (3) on rear of flame detector.
2. Open swiveling cover (1).
3. Use DIP switches (2) to set the parameter set you want
(see table below).
4. Close swiveling cover (1) and fix with screw (3).

 When installing, use a secured ladder or work
platform.

 Never leave the flame detector hanging with the
connection cable connected to the base for flame
detector.
1. Remove bridging connector (7) from base for flame
detector (4).
2. Use connection cable (6) to connect connections (8) in
base for flame detector (4) and on flame detector.
3. Use four screws (5) to secure flame detector to base
for flame detector (4).
Setting parameter set (FDnet/C-NET)
The parameter set is set using control panel. For this, use
the control panel documentation.
