Getting Started
When the service provider is
displayed, the phone is in standby
mode and is ready for use.
If you do not have a SIM card, the
phone can be used with limited
functionality.
When you turn on your phone, you
will be prompted to insert your SIM
card. However, even without the
SIM card inserted, you will still be
able to place an emergency call by
selecting the
SOS
soft key. You will
also have access to the following
functions in the phone’s menu:
Demonstration
Games
Clock
Alarm clock
SIM problems
If you see Please insert your SIM card
on your display, check for possible
causes (p. 88)

PIN
If your PIN is entered incorrectly three
times, the SIM card is locked. Unlock with
PUK (key code) (p. 76).
You may also change your PIN or activate
or deactivate PIN control (p. 76).
