9.3 Derating data
9.3.1 Current derating as a function of the installation altitude
The permissible converter output current is reduced above an installation altitude of
1000 m.
Permissible line supplies dependent on the installation altitude
Installation altitude is up to 4000 m above sea level.
Output voltage is reduced above an installation altitude of 2000 m.
For installation altitudes ≤ 2000 m above sea level, it is permissible to
connect the converter to any of the line supplies that are specified for it.
For installation altitudes 2000 m to 4000 m above sea level, the following
applies:
– Connection to a TN line system with grounded neutral point is permissible.
– TN systems with grounded line conductor are not permitted.
– The TN line system with grounded neutral point can also be supplied using
an isolation transformer.
– The phase-to-phase voltage does not have to be reduced.
