8. Mount the positioner on the manifold:
Linkage P – Place an O-ring in the manifold recess. Orient the positioner against the manifold as
shown on page 1 with the feedback pin in the slot in the feedback lever. Insert two M8 x 25
socket head screws with lockwashers into the manifold and thread into the positioner.
Linkage U – Place an O-ring in the manifold recess. Orient the positioner against the manifold as
shown on page 1 with the feedback pin in the U-channel. The spring loaded feedback pin should
compress about 1/4”. Insert two M8 x 25 socket head screws with lockwashers into the manifold
and thread into the positioner.
9. Tighten all hardware.
10. Read the “Cautions” on page 2 and then apply the appropriate air pressures to fully stroke the valve.
Exercise the positioner/actuator assembly to ensure that:
The feedback arm is approximately perpendicular to the valve stem at the mid-stroke
position. Adjust the positioner location as necessary.
The feedback linkage does not prevent the valve from fully stroking. Adjust as needed.
The feedback pin moves freely within the feedback arm or U-channel for the entire valve
stroke. Adjust the pin position and positioner location as necessary.
All hardware is tightened securely.
11. Once the linkage moves freely for the entire stroke, make any additional electrical and pneumatic
connections and then proceed to the calibration instructions in the instrument manuals (see page 1
footnote).
