15.2 Connecting the appli-
ance to a WLAN home
network (Wi-Fi) without
WPS function
If your router does not have a WPS
function, you can connect the appli-
ance to your WLAN home network
(Wi-Fi) manually.
Requirements
¡ Wi-Fi is activated on the router.
¡ The Wi-Fi basic setting is activated
on the appliance.

¡ The appliance receives signals
from the WLAN home network (Wi-
Fi) at its installation location.
¡ The HomeConnect app is installed
on your mobile device.
1. Press and hold Fernstart for at
least 3seconds.
a You are now in the HomeConnect
menu.
2. Select Man. network log-in.
3. Select Connect
4. Confirm the message on the dis-
play.
a flashes on the display.
a The appliance now sets up its own
Wi-Fi home network with the name
(SSID) HomeConnect.
5. Call up the Wi-Fi settings on the
mobile device.
Connect the mobile device to the
HomeConnect Wi-Fi network and
enter the Wi-Fi password (key)
HomeConnect.
a Your mobile device connects to
the appliance. The connection pro-
cess may take up to 60seconds.
6. Open the HomeConnect app on
your mobile device and carry out
the steps in the app.
7. In the HomeConnect app, enter
the network name (SSID) and
password (key) for your home net-
work.
8. Carry out the steps in the
HomeConnect app to connect the
appliance.
a If the display shows Connected
and lights up permanently, the
appliance is connected to the Wi-Fi
home network.

Requirements
¡ The appliance is connected to the
WLAN home network (Wi-Fi).
¡ The HomeConnect app is open
and you have logged on.
1. Select Connect app.
2. Select Connect to the app.
3. Confirm the message in the dis-
play.
a The appliance connects to the
HomeConnect app.
4. Once your appliance is displayed
in the HomeConnect app, carry
out the last steps in the
HomeConnect app.
a If the display shows Connected,
the appliance is connected to the
HomeConnect app.
15.4 Activating Wi-Fi on the
appliance
Note:When Wi-Fi is activated, the en-
ergy consumption increases in com-
parison to the values specified in the
consumption value table.
