Charging the appliance
NOTE
► The appliance is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
Before using the appliance for the first time, the battery must be
charged. The plug LED
7 lights up red during charging.
► If the plug LED
7 flashes red, the battery is nearly completely
discharged.
1) Switch off the appliance (if necessary) using the On/Off switch I/O 5
by sliding the On/Off switch I/O 5 to the position O.
2) Connect the barrel plug 9 of the mains adapter 8 to the appliance
(see fig. 1).

3) Plug the mains plug of the mains adapter 8 into an easily accessible
mains socket (100 – 240V ∼, 50/60 Hz).
4) The battery charges and the plug LED 7 lights up red. The bat-
tery LED 6 will flash blue as soon as the battery is fully charged.
