Changing the batteries
Note: The scales feature a „Replace battery“
indicator. If you operate the scales with batteries
that are too weak, this will be indicated on the
LC display

by the value “(Lo)” (for the hand-
held unit

) or „bLo“ (for the scales).
Replace the used batteries with new batteries
of the same type (3 V
, CR2032 button
cells).
Proceed as follows:
Scales
1. Open the battery cover

on the back of the
scales.
2. Remove the exhausted batteries and dispose of
them as described in the section about “Dis-
posal”.
3. Place the new battery in the battery compart-
ment. Please note the polarity. The “+” symbol
must be visible on the top of the battery. Press
the battery gently downwards and close the
battery cover

Note: When you insert the battery, make sure
that the contacts do not get bent.
