Inserting batteries
The battery compartment  is underneath the brush pad .
1) Remove the brush pad  as described in chapter “Removing/
attaching brush pads".
2) Insert 2 x 1.5 V batteries  of type AAA in the battery compart-
ment . Ensure the polarity is correct.
3) Then replace the brush pad  again as described in chapter
“Removing/attaching brush pads .

NOTE
The hairbrush has been fitted with an ion function:
When combing hair, the friction caused by a normal hair-
brush can statically charge the hairs, which begin to "fly".
The ion function ensures that this charging of the hair is neu-
tralised and cancelled. The hair becomes soft, supple, shiny
and easier to style.
1) Press the ion activator
 to position I. The indicator
lamp  illuminates to show that the ion function has been
activated.
NOTE
You might hear a slight hissing sound when the ion function
is activated. This is normal and not a malfunction of the
appliance.
