7. Cleaning and maintenance of the
device
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
~ Do not use any astringent or abrasive cleaning agents.
NOTE: To ensure good cutting performance and prevent pinching, the
device must be cleaned and maintained regularly.
Cleaning the trimmer head
1. Switch off the device with the on/off switch|3 if necessary.
2. Remove any attachment|10/11 currently in place.
3. Clean the trimmer head|1 and the attachments|10/11 using the
cleaning brush supplied.
4. Rinse the trimmer head|1 and the attachments|10/11 under clean
running water.
5. Allow all parts to dry completely before reassembling them and put-
ting them away.
Oiling the trimmer head
Oil the trimmer head|1...
… if you feel pinching during trimming, or if the trimming performance
deteriorates.
… depending on the intensity of use, but generally after 6 months at
the latest.
1. Switch off the device with the on/off switch|3 if necessary.
2. Remove any attachment|10/11 currently in place.
3. Apply a drop of sewing machine oil to the cleaned blades of the
trimmer head|1.
4. Switch on the device with the on/off switch|3 in order to spread the
oil around.
