16. Malfunctions, Cause, Remedy
If your device fails to function as required, please try this checklist first. Perhaps there is only
a minor problem, and you can solve it yourself.
DANGER! Risk of electric shock!
~ Do not attempt to repair the device yourself under any circumstances.
16.1 Malfunctions during operation
Malfunction Cause Remedy
Device does not start.
Blender jug5 is not posi-
tioned correctly
Insert blender jug5 correctly (see
“Insert blender jug” on page 20).
Lid34 or deep steamer bas-
ket3 have not been placed
correctly onto the blender
jug5.
Place lid34 or deep steamer bas-
ket3 correctly.
No power supply
Check mains plug7, main
switch6 and possibly the fuse.
Blade assembly29 not
turning.
Is the blade socket10 worn
out? This can happen, for ex-
ample, if you have processed
too large a quantity of dough.
Replace the blade socket10 with
a new one (see “Replacing the
blade socket” on page 31) and
comply with the specified maxi-
mum quantities in future.
Liquid underneath the
device
The blade assembly29 has
not been inserted correctly so
that the blender jug5 is leak-
ing.
Insert blade assembly29 correctly
(see “Using and removing the
blade assembly” on page 19).
Seal28 for the blade assem-
bly is defective.
Insert new seal28 (see “Clean-
ing, checking and replacing seals”
on page 29).
Liquid escaped from the
blender jug5 flowing onto
the surface through the over-
flow hole11 of the base
unit13. (see “Overflow” on
page 18)
When mixing liquids at speed 10
or with button TUR
BO20, the
blender jug5 must not contain
more than 1 litre, since otherwise
liquid may be ejected. For speed
settings of less than 10, the blend-
er jug5 may only be filled up to a
maximum of 2.2 litres.
