Preparing the appliance
■ Remove the packaging material and the protective films from the panel and
the door opener button .
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not remove the light grey mica cover plate, which
is mounted inside the cooking chamber to protect the
magnetron.
■ Insert the plug into a mains power socket. Use a 230–240V
~
, 50 Hz,
mains power socket with a 16 amp fuse. It is recommended that the micro-
wave oven is powered from its own power circuit. If you are unsure about
how to connect the microwave oven, consult a specialist.
■ Before the first regular usage of the microwave oven the appliance must be
heated up to remove any remaining production residues.
■ After inserting the mains plug into the socket, open the microwave door once
by pressing the door opener button .
Switch the appliance on in Grill mode without any food or accessories (turntable 
and grill stand 0):
NOTE ON HEATING UP FOR THE FIRST TIME
► Only operate the microwave without food or acces-
sories when heating up for the first time.
Operate the microwave for a maximum of 5 minutes
when empty!
1) Press the Grill button  . "Gr 1" appears on the display .
2) Turn the control dial .
, until "Gr 3" and the and symbols appear
on the display  and confirm your choice by pressing the start/quick start
button . .
3) Use the control dial .
to set a cooking time of 5 minutes.
4) Press start/quick start .
to start the grilling process.
