Thread Cutting
1. ThenewthreadfortheinsertcoilshouldbecutusingthesuppliedTap(2).
2. Mountthetapintoasuitablewrench,andslowlywindclockwiseintothefreshlydrilledhole.Always
useappropriatecuttinguid,andwindthetapback½turnanticlockwiseforeveryfullturnclockwise
toclearswarf.
3. Removethetapfromthehole.
Inserting the Coil
1. PlaceanInsertCoil(5)ontotheendoftheCoilDriver(3),sothatitispositivelylocatedwiththecoil
drivetangtowardstheendofthedriver.
2. Windclockwiseintothenewlythreadedhole.
3. Removethecoildriver.
Removing the Drive Tang
1. PositiontheTangRemover(4)intotheholesothatitrestsonthedrivetang.
2. Strikethetangremoverlightlywithahammertoremovethetang.
3. Thethreadrepairisnowcomplete,andreadyforuse.

• Preparethedamagedthreadbydrillingoutallunwantedmaterial.ADrillBit(1)ofthecorrectnalsizeisprovided
• Itmaybenecessarytodrillaseriesofsmallerholesbeforeusingthesuppliedbit.Takecaretoensurethatthedrillbitis
correctlycentredonthedamagedthread

Thread Cutting

Cut new thread using the supplied tap. Use cutting fluid and clear swarf by backing off periodically.

Place insert coil onto the coil driver, then wind clockwise into the prepared hole.

Removing the Drive Tang

Position tang remover tool and strike lightly with a hammer to break off the drive tang.
