TROUBLESHOOTING
DANGER – risk of electric shock!
Never try to repair the appliance on your own. In case of malfunction,
repairs must be carried out by authorised professionals only.
In case your appliance does not work properly, please take a look at this checklist
first. It may be just a minor problem that you can fix without assistance.
Malfunction Possible causes / remedies
Appliance does not
start.
The mains plug (3) is not connected to an electrical
outlet.
Plug the mains plug into an appropriate electrical outlet.
Make sure that it is firmly plugged in.
The hot air frying baskets (12) are not inserted fully.
Insert the hot air frying baskets properly.
The appliance is not correctly programmed.
Set the cooking function, temperature and time correctly.
Ingredients are not
fully cooked.
Too many ingredients.
Place smaller portions in the appliance.
The cooking temperature set is too low.
Set the appliance to a higher cooking temperature.
Cooking time is too short.
Set a longer cooking time for the appliance.
Ingredients
have been fried
unevenly.
Ingredients must be shaken in the middle of the cooking
process.
Shake the ingredients. Refer to the “Cooking instructions”
table if in any doubt.
Deep-fried snacks
are not crispy.
Snacks meant for normal deep-fat fryers have been used.
Always use oven snacks or spread a little oil on the
snacks for a crispier result.
Fresh fries are not
fried evenly or are
not crispy.
The potato strips were not washed and dried properly
before frying.
Wash the potato strips well to remove any starch before
patting them dry well.
The potato strips are too big.
Cut the potato strips into smaller pieces.
Not enough oil.
Add a little more oil.
