NOTE: For Steps 1 through 3, see Figure 29.
1. If connected, disconnect printer’s surge suppressed outlet adapter (A) from AC outlet. The printer checks and
recognizes new DIP switch settings only when the printer is powered up.
NOTE: Surge suppressed outlet adapter is an Electricord XP, Cat. No. A-1491 -l/C-AS.
2. At the right side of the printer, set switches on SW1 and SW2 as follows:

NOTE: To check DIP switch settings at power-up, hold down the DRAFT/LINE FEED button when turning the
power switch to the ON position: then release the DRAFT/LINE FEED button. Printer responds with a
print-out of the current DIP switch settings.
3. If connected, disconnect RS-232C connector with internal MOV suppression (B) from printer’s serial
connector (C).
