Utilize the Keychain Remote's Easy Setup Wizard for guided, customized system setup.
Place Base Station centrally, plugged into an outlet not controlled by a light switch.
Adhere Keypad to wall near entrance, 10-100 ft from Base Station.
Mount 4-5 ft high; sensor ignores pets under 30 lbs if they stay within 5 ft.
Install near windows (up to 20 ft); sensors detect glass breaking sounds.
Align magnet and sensor (<2" apart when closed); adhere to door/frame.
Adhere to wall in accessible location (e.g., bedroom); press for 1-2 sec to trigger.
Install within 100 ft of Base Station; use ear protection indoors.
Install near bedrooms; avoid kitchen/garage. Mount bracket then twist detector.
Install near sleeping areas, one per level; avoid kitchen/bathroom.
Place near thermostat or exposed plumbing; may offer insurance discounts.
Place on floor, ideally in appliance drip pans; may offer insurance discounts.
Activate subscription online; practice mode lasts 3 days.
Select '5) Test' on Keypad menu to put system into test mode.
