lengthen
and

shorten
the
stitch.

In
general,
short
stitches
are
best
for
light
weight
fabrics;
longer
ones
for
heavy
fabrics.
Most
normal
sewing
is
done
with
stitch

inch.

REVERSE
STITCHING
Press

center
button

hold

reverse
stitching.
Fabric
will
immediately
start
feeding
backwards.
Release
button
and
machine
will
resume
normal
forward
stitching.
A
few
reverse
stitches
are
very
useful
for
fastening
beginning
or
end
of
seams
and
darts
without
having
to
tie
threads.
