the
unwinder,
pass
the
thread
from
bach
to
front
through
hole

to

hole

under
from
right
to
left
between
tension
discs

up
under
controller
spring
7,
until
it
enters
re¬
taining
fork

over
thread

The
needle
and
bobbin
threads
should
be
lock¬
ed
in
the
center
of
the
thickness
of
the
material
as
shown
in
Fig.
12.
If
the
tension
on
the
needle
thread
is
too
tight,
or
if
that
on
the
bobbin
thread
is
too
loose,
the
needle
thread
will
lie
straight
along
the
upper
surface
of
the
material
as
shown
in
Fig.
13.

If
the

the
bobbin
thread

the
needle

too

bobbin
thread
will
lie
straight
along
the
under
side
of
the
ma¬
terial

shown

TO
PREPARE
FOR
SEWING
With
the
left
hand,
hold
the
end
of
the
needle
thread,
leaving
it
slack
from
hand
to
needle.
Turn
ma¬
chine
pulley
over
toward
you
until
needle
moves
down
and
up
again
to
its
highest
point,
catching
the
bobbin
thread.
Draw
up
the
needle
thread
and
the
bobbin
thread
will
come
with
it
through
hole
in
throat
plate.
Lay
both
threads
back
under
the
roller
presser.
TO
START
SEWING
Place
the
material
under
the
roller
presser,
lower
the
roller
presser
and
start
to
sew.
Hold
threads
until
the
first
stitch
is
made.
TO
REGULATE
THE
TENSION
The
tension
on
the
needle
thread
is
regulated
by
thumb
nut
