TO CHANGE THE LENGTH OF STITCH
With the left hand push lever P, Fig. 15 back
away from operator and at the same time turn machine
pulley over toward operator until latch Q enters a
notch in the adjustable feed driving eccentric R. Still
holding lever P, turn machine pulley until the desired
number of stitches per inch is shown in stitch length
indicator S, then release lever P.
TO SET NEEDLE BAR AT CORRECT HEIGHT

When the needle bar is at its lowest position,
the upper timing mark T should be just visible at the
lower end of needle bar bushing, as shown in Fig. 16.

TO REGULATE THE PRESSURE ON THE MATERIAL
The pressure of the roller presser on the ma¬
terial is regulated by screw Q2, Fig. 17 . Turn this
screw to the right (down) to increase the pressure or
to the left (up) to decrease the pressure. The pres¬
sure should be only sufficiently heavy to feed the
work evenly.

To set, loosen screw V, Fig. 17 and move
needle bar to the correct height, then tighten screw V.
